The Overtones of the Space Flutes

With overtone flute the notes of an overton scale are played, e.g., C, C1, G1, C2, E2, G2, Bb2, C3,D3, E3, F#3, G3 (see table below).

The choice of a note happens by the strength of the air pressure when the flute is blown and with a grasping hole. Ever stronger it is blown all the higher the tone.

With closed grasping hole the uneven-numbered partial sounds are played, with open grasping hole the even-numbered.

The first partial note is the tonic (according to the chosen Space Flute). Of the 2nd partial tone an octave forms to the tonic. The interval from 2nd to the 3rd partial tone is a Fifth etc.

The nature sounds deviate from the taken down sounds(clay) (same-stage, chromatic mood) now and then clearly: the fifth (C - G) is bigger a little, the big third (C1'-E1) and particularly the small Septime (C1-Bb1) are much smaller. The 7th partial tone forms the so-called Natural Seventh which is completely disregarded in the western marking system and is replaced by the Minor seventh.
